EMOTA Members launched a project aiming to ensure consumers recognise a certain trustmark across borders. The initiative brought consumer protection levels to an equal minimum level across all the countries covered by our trustmarks, in line with EU rules for consumer protection and privacy.
The aim of the criteria is to offer consumers convenient, reliable, safe and legally compliant services. A comprehensive accreditation process has been put in place, including the withdrawal sanction in case of non-compliance by a participating trader. The EMOTA Trustmark is therefore always visible together with the local Trustmark.
